The UB Working Lecturer Program at the S1 Agribusiness and Fisheries Study Program was used to establish initial collaboration with Chiang Mai University (CMU), Thailand. The initiation of collaboration was realized in the form of an MoA (Memorandum of Agreement) between the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya and the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University. The follow-up to this collaboration has been agreed with Assistant Professor Dr. Daruni Naphrom as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture during a visit on October 30 2023 at the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University.

In the first session there was a discussion with the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University; accompanied by Associate Prof. Dr. Tossapol Moonmanee as Head of Department of Animal and Aquatic Science; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jirawan Kitchaicharoen as Head of Department of Agricultural Economy and Development; several department lecturers; as well as employees of the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University. The result of this first session of discussion was an agreement to create an MoA (Memorandum of Agreement) document between the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya and the Faculty of Agriculture, Chiang Mai University. Then briefing from Asst. Professor Dr. Daruni Naphrom to continue the Implementation of Agreement between Departments.

The second session continued with discussions according to the research field between the Department of Social and Economic Fisheries, FFMS UB and the Department of Agricultural Economy and Development CMU. The result of this discussion is a discussion of the curriculum in the undergraduate study program at the Dept. of Agricultural Economy and Development, implementation of collaborative research and publications with comparative studies between agricultural conditions in Indonesia and Thailand, and collaboration opportunities for student exchange programs .[NKN]
