In an effort to expand cross-border educational cooperation, on November 23 2023, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FFMS UB) Prof. Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin Prihanto, and Chair of the FFMS UB Senate, Prof. Dr. Happy Nursyam, paid a visit to the Education Attache of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Thailand.
This visit aims to obtain more in-depth information about higher education institutions in Thailand as well as looking for opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation between UB and universities in Thailand.
In a meeting with Education Attaché Dr. Achmad Wicaksono, Prof. Asep Awaludin Prihanto and Prof. Happy Nursyam conveyed the purpose of their visit, namely to obtain information about the cooperation in the field of fisheries education and marine science between Indonesia and Thailand. They also hope to gain better insight into the higher education system in Thailand, the potential for collaboration that can be developed, and get valuable suggestions regarding strategies to strengthen collaboration between UB and universities in Thailand.
The Thai Education Attaché welcomed the visit from UB representatives and enthusiastically provided information about higher education, research focus, and potential collaboration with universities in Thailand. It is hoped that this meeting will become a basis for further discussion and development of concrete cooperation between UB and universities in Thailand, bringing a positive impact in the development of higher education in both countries.[*]
