Thursday (04/1/2023), the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FFMS UB) started 2024 by coordinating with the Expert Staff Team of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Kemenkomarves) regarding the MBKM program at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Investment.
Taking place in the FFMS UB Meeting Room, this coordination was attended by Dr. Ir. Sugeng Santoso, MT, QRGP, CGRE as Expert Staff to the Minister for Maritime Economics and staff, with leadership, departments, study programs, and the MBKM FFMS UB team.
Dr. Ir. Sugeng Santoso, MT, QRGP, CGRE stated that the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries opens the opportunity for all FFMS UB students who have completed semesters 1 – 5 to be able to take part in Certified MBKM Internships in agencies under the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, by bringing ideas or innovations that have been implemented. obtained during lectures, which supports 6 commodities favored by FFMS UB. Where there are superior marine ecotourism commodities, mangroves, shrimp, tilapia, tuna and koi fish.
This was of course welcomed by FFMS UB, Dr. Eng. Abu Bakar Sambah, S.Pi., M.Sc., MT. as Deputy Dean III for Student Affairs, Alumni and Student Entrepreneurship stated that the FFMS UB MBKM Team will carry out outreach and selection of students who will take part in MBKM at the Kemenkomarves in 2024.
