On Wednesday (April 24th, 2024), the Head of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FFMS UB) together with the FFMS’s Community Service Research Board and Organizations held a coordination meeting in preparation for the 2024 FFMS UB Community Service Program Thematic (KKN-T). The KKN-T program aims to provide learning opportunities for students to develop soft skills such as leadership, teamwork, and adaptability. By strengthen these skills, students will be better to face the challenges of the professional world and directly contribute to the community.
KKN-T 2024 FFMS UB will be conduct from July to August 2024 in 40 villages in Blitar Regency, East Java. This activity will involve 900 FFMS UB students Class of 2022 with the theme “FPIK UB Membangun Desa“. Several themes that have been agreed upon as part of the KKN-T activities this time include:
- Fishery Product Processing: Students will be involved in fishery product processing activities, including processing fish and other fishery products.
- Aquaculture: Students will learn and participate in fish farming, both in ponds and ponds.
- Tourism Development: This activity will focus on developing tourism potential in the local area, including promotion of tourist destinations and management of tourism attractions.
- Aquatic, Coastal and Marine Environmental Management: Students will be involved in efforts to preserve the aquatic, coastal and marine environment, as well as overcome existing environmental problems.
