Brawijaya University (UB) is proud to announce the implementation of the Brawijaya International Student Mobility Award (BISMA) 2024. This program is an initiative designed to support UB’s internationalization through international student exchange. BISMA 2024 is officially part of UB’s efforts to enhance global competence and meet the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of higher education institutions. This program is also synergistic with UB’s World Class University (WCU) initiative. The BISMA 2024 program aims to provide international experience to students, broaden scientific horizons, and improve adaptability in a global environment.

The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FFMS) participates in the BISMA 2024 program by establishing collaboration with the University of Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The opening ceremony of the BISMA 2024 program was held on Monday (April 22nd, 2024) in the Main Building Meeting Room of FPIK UB, Malang.

The series of BISMA activities include public lectures, field trips to marine and fisheries facilities, and reporting in the form of a project base by program participants. The field trip will involve visits to the FFMS UB Marine Station in Sendang Biru, South Malang, and several conservation locations in the area.

In his opening remarks, the Dean of FPIK UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Maftuch, M.Si., mentioned that the BISMA 2024 program is expected to be a step forward for UB in creating a young generation that is ready to compete and collaborate at the international level. [ALF]
