FFMS UB Leaders and participants of the 2024/2025 Odd Semester Period I Judicial Ceremony

On Friday, October 11, 2024, the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FFMS UB) held a Graduation Ceremony for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programs Period I, Odd Semester, Academic Year 2024/2025. The event, which took place in the Auditorium on the 1st Floor of the FPIK UB Main Building, was attended by faculty leaders, including the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin Prihanto, S.Pi., MP., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Student Entrepreneurship, Dr. Eng. Abu Bakar Sambah, S.Pi., MT., along with the Heads of Departments and Study Programs.

In his speech, Dr. Eng. Abu Bakar Sambah delivered an inspiring message to the participants of the graduation ceremony. He emphasized that the process of compiling an alumni portfolio is not just an academic journey that ends with graduation, but rather a continuous learning process that includes valuable experiences that cannot always be obtained in the classroom.

The alumni who are now officially part of the Alumni Association of Brawijaya University, especially the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, have gone through various challenges since they were first accepted as new students. From participating in the Brawijaya Event, PKKMB Pinishi FFMS UB, to undergoing lectures, practicums, KKN, field work practices, and writing their theses, they have faced a long process that demands perseverance and commitment.

On this occasion, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sc. Asep Awaludin Prihanto, S.Pi., MP., also read the Decree of the Dean of FFMS UB Number 199 of 2024 which determined the graduation of one Masters Program (S2) student and thirteen Bachelor Program students. With great pride, all levels of faculty leadership expressed their appreciation and congratulations to the alumni for their struggles and achievements.

This graduation ceremony marks the end of an important phase in the academic journey of the graduates, as well as a gateway to their contribution in the professional world and the wider community. [ALF]
