


Located in the Graha Bina Praja Building, the Pasuruan Regency Government held a welcoming event for the 2022 FFMS UB Community Service-Thematic Program (KKN-Tematik) participants on Tuesday, July 25, 2022. A total of 490 KKN participating students attended the event, accompanied by the leaders of FFMS UB, as well as the representatives heads of the villages and heads of subdistrict from 17 coastal villages of Pasuruan Regency as the location of the community service. Dean of FFMS UB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Maftuch, M.Si, explained that this activity has thematic activities, they are geospatial-based village maps, as well as the data collecting of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) profiles at coastal village and village locations in Pasuruan Regency. Apart from building this database, the FFMS Community Service-Thematic Program (KKN-Tematik) is also a learning project for students to communicate and interact both with the team and with the community. Community service students are representatives of UB institutions that must maintain the good name of the campus, in order to achieve the highest goal of education, as scholars who are beneficial to the community. The Interim Head Regent of Pasuruan, KH. A. Mujib Imron, SH, MH, welcomed the KKNT activities in Pasuruan Regency. He hopes that this activity can contribute in the form of a potential map of coastal village profile in the Pasuruan Regency area, which consists of creating a thematic map of the potential village, as well as updating the village profile, especially from the social aspects of the community economy. On this occasion, the Head of Pasuruan District gives the trust to the subdistrict head, they are Bangil, Kraton, Rejoso, Lekok and Nguling, and heads of village, to provide the students with information to facilitate all students’ needs. For FFMS UB students who are participating in this activity, he advised to always respect the culture and traditions on those locations. Furthermore, the Head Regent of Pasuruan hopes for UB that Pasuruan Regency can be determined as the location of the regular agenda for the implementation of community service activities.
