PSDKU Aquaculture Study Program

Aquatic Resources Management Study Program

Aquatic Resource Management provides a set of curriculum to produce graduates capable of managing aquatic resources and fisheries with insightful environmentally. To complete the study, students are required to take a minimum SKS of 144 credits consisting of compulsory subjects of 127 credits and 17 credits of elective courses. Study time can be reached 8 – 14 semesters. Implementation of education and teaching undertaken by the Study Program of Aquatic Resource Management is a lecture, doing tasks, practicum, doing research final task that is PKL (internship) and thesis, which ends with seminars and exams. In addition, to be able to hold a bachelor’s degree, students are required to pass a computer and TOEFL exam with a minimum score of 450. Aquatic Resource Management Study Program has three kinds of study centers which are the scope of science studied namely Environmental Sciences Waters, Coastal and Marine Resource Management, and Biotechnology Aquatic Resources.

Aquaculture Study Program

Aquaculture is an established study program aimed at studying aquaculture technologies and management as well as management of aquaculture activities ranging from freshwater, brackish and sustainable waters (Sustainable Aquaculture). The focus of assessment or interest on certain issues in aquaculture activities is reflected in the student’s final assignment. The focus of recitation is Reproduction and Breeding Fish, Fish Nutrition, Parasites and Fish Disease, and Aquaculture Management.

Fisheries Product Technology Study Program

Fisheries Products Technology  study program organizes education, research and community service in the scope of Fisheries Product Technology in accordance with guidelines set by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education by prioritizing the quality of graduates who are ready to face the global competition.
Improving the ability of students is done by orienting to the needs of industry and society in the context of sustainable fisheries development.

PSDKU (Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama) Akuakultur

Sejarah Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) Akuakultur merupakan pengembangan Program Studi Budidaya Perairan, Fakultas Perikanan dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang yang telah memperoleh akreditasi A dengan SK BAN-PT Nomor 3744/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/X/2017. Untuk mengantisipasi perkembangan produksi budidaya perairan, kebutuhan tenaga kerja dibidang akuakultur, serta kebutuhan masyarakat terhadap pendidikan sarjana, terutama lulusan SMA. Maka sehubungan dengan Izin Pembukaan Program Studi di Luar Kampus Utama yang ditetapkannya Keputusan Menteri Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Nomor 944/KPT/I/2018, Universitas Brawijaya membuka Program Studi Diluar Kampus Utama (PSDKU) yakni PSDKU Akuakultur. Selain itu, tedapat urgensi berdasarkan tingginya jumlah peminat program studi Budidaya Perairan di Universitas Brawijaya, Malang yang tidak dapat tertampung sehingga ditindak lanjuti dengan membuka program studi baru. Dengan demkian masih banyak peluang daya tampung lapangan kerja dalam bidang akuakultur, untuk lulusan program studi S1 PSDKU Akuakultur.

PSDKU Akuakultur didirikan dan ditujukan untuk mempelajari ilmu dan teknologi budidaya perairan serta pengelolaan kegiatan budidaya pada perairan tawar, payau dan laut yang berkelanjutan dengan menjadikan teknologi, rekayasa dan manajemen perikanan budidaya ikan hias serta entrepreneurship/ kewirausahaan sebagai penciri keunggulan keilmuan budidaya dan sesuai salah satu ciri Universitas Brawijaya sebagai Enterpreneur University menuju ke World Class University dengan fokus kajian yakni:

  1. Reproduksi Ikan
  2. Produksi Budidaya Ikan
  3. Nutrisi Ikan
  4. Penyakit dan Kesehatan Ikan

Mission

Menyelenggarakan proses pembelajaran yang meliputi kegiatan pendidikan, penelitian dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk menghasilkan lulusan berkualitas, berwawasan ke depan, berdisiplin, bermoral tinggi dan berjiwa kewirausahaan.

Tujuan dari PSDKU Akuakultur adalah mencetak Sarjana Perikanan yang :
1 Berjiwa wirausaha, berkesadaran ketuhanan, kemanusiaan, dan lingkungan.
2 Menemukan dan megembangkan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dibidang akuakultur
3 Menemukan dan mengembangkan sistem dan teknik pembelajaran inovatif dalam keilmuwan akuakultur
4 Memberikan pelayanan kepada masyarakat melalui pendidikan, pelatihan, pendampingan dan konsultasi.
