Fisheries Resource Utilization Study Program

Vision

Making Fisheries Resource Utilization Study Program more superior and be able to play an active role in nation building through an educational process, research and community service in the field of utilization of environmentally sound fishery resources.

Mission

Conducting the educational process to produce graduates/experts who are devoted to the God and entrepreneurial spirit by applying ecological principles that have the competence of exploration, exploitation, and management of fishery and marine resources in accordance with the needs of marine and fisheries development

Conduct quality-based research on commitment and morals to develop science and technology science and technology in the field of exploration, exploitation, and management of sustainable fisheries and marine resources.

Conducting services in education/training, research and community service and empowerment (stakeholders) in the field of exploration, exploitation, and management of fishery and marine resources that are environmentally sound.

Number of active students of Fisheries Resource Utilization Study Program until 2019/2020 as many as 598 people with the number of teachers as many as 20 people with S3 educational strata and S2. Alumni that have been produced as many as > 1500 people spread in various regions with the scope of work as civil servants, consultants, SOEs, Industries, Banking, Researchers, Entrepreneurs, and Lecturers.

Marine Science Study Program

Brawijaya University’s Marine Science Program is a study program under the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences. Marine Science is a study program that focuses on interest/science studies such as Oceanography, Conservation, and Exploration of the marine environment.

Making Marine Science Study Program more superior and able to play an active role in nation building through an educational process, research and community service in the field of utilization of environmentally sound fishery resources.

Mission

To organize the education process and apply effectively the science, technology and art of marine to produce scholars / experts who are devoted to God Almighty and entrepreneurial spirit, have the knowledge and academic and technical skills needed to solve marine problems based on exploration competency and non-fish exploitation, oceanography as well as conservation of coastal and marine resources.

Conducting research activities to develop, explore, produce and enrich the science, technology, and art of marine in the field of non-fish exploration and exploitation, oceanography as well as sustainable coastal and marine resources conservation.

Conducting services in education/training, research and community empowerment (stakeholder) in non-fish exploration and exploitation, oceanography and sustainable coastal and marine resource conservation.
